GENERAL: This
database only contains active titles and titles for structures that have
been converted to Real Property. It is not possible to look up the
previous owners of a given structure. Case
is not important. An "r" is equal to an "R". Do
not enclose your request in quotes. The quotes used on this page are
only meant to highlight example requests and results. Make
your search criteria as specific as possible. The search engine will
only return the first 100 matches it finds. The
search engine will only look for matches on the first criteria in the
list. If you enter a name and an address, it will only search
on the name. The search engine
will return titles that exactly match what you type, regardless of
what follows it on the title record. For example, if you enter a
Serial Number of
"A5SC33",
you will receive
"A5SC3334CA"
"A5SC3351CA"
"A5SC3358CA"
and
"A5SC3383CA". SEARCHING
BY NAME Mobile home titles
are issued to individuals, companies, government entities, and Family
Trusts. In order to search for an individual, the last name must be
followed by a comma, followed by the first name or initial.
"Smith," will return the first 100 owners with the last name
Smith. "Smith" (without the comma) will return Smith
Trucking, Smith Family Trust, Smithers Family Trust, etc. "Smith,
Carol" will return everyone named Carol Smith. However, if you don't
find the Carol Smith you are looking for, you should try "Smith
Carol", without the comma in the middle, or "Carol Smith".
A few of the older titles were created with a different format. Do
not place a period after a person's first or middle initial. A
search on "Smith, Carla E." will return one title, but a search
on "Smith, Carla E" will return two different titles. If
you know a person's first name is William but are unable to find his
title, try "Wm". You might also try "Dr.
William" and "Dr William" (without the period). You
should do this for any first name that has a common
abbreviation. If you
can't find a name that has an apostrophe in it, try searching without it,
i. e. "D ANGELO" vs. "D'ANGELO". You
will occasionally need to be creative when searching for some company
names. The following will result in zero titles found: "BARBELL
FARMS", "BAR BELL FARMS", and "BAR-BELL
FARMS" (note the difficult to see hyphen between BAR and BELL). But, a search on "BAR-BELL FARMS," (with a comma
after the S), will return four titles issued to BAR-BELL FARMS, A NEVADA
CORPORATION. Some other
company name variations to be on the lookout for: "C
& B BOYD PARKS, A CALIFORNIA LTD"
"C AND B BOYD PARKS, A CALIFORNIA LTD"
"C G PROPERTIES, INC., A NEVADA CORPORATION"
"C.G. PROP, INC."
"COUNTY OF CLARK, A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION"
"C. & J. STORAGE YARD" Note
that the first five names above have a comma in them. Therefore, you would
need to include the comma in your search criteria in order to find them. SEARCHING
BY ADDRESS Doing
lookups by address can occasionally be a real challenge. It
should only be used as a last resort. The following
standard abbreviations are used in the database: N
= NORTH
S = SOUTH
E = EAST
W = WEST
ST = STREET
RD = ROAD
DR = DRIVE
BL = BOULEVARD
PL = PLACE
CT = COURT
AVE = AVENUE
CIR = CIRCLE
WAY = WAY
HWY = HIGHWAY
STE = SUITE Some
exceptions: If
a "direction" is at the end of an address, it will be spelled
out, i.e. "123 HWY 50 EAST". If
"Avenue" is the first word in a street name, it will be spelled
out, i.e. "123 AVENUE B". Some
other things to be aware of:
-
Some street names
that are the same street might be spelled with one word or two, i. e.
"QUARTERHORSE" vs. "QUARTER HORSE"; "YELLOWJACKET"
vs. "YELLOW JACKET".
-
Some street
addresses have an alpha character after the number, i.e.
"9595C".
-
Some street numbers
are followed by "1/2".
-
The following
address is valid: "9626B E C ST".
-
Sometimes the exact
same street will have different designations, i.e. ST, RD, DR, or no
designation at all.
-
"FIRST ST"
is spelled "1ST ST", "SECOND ST" is "2ND
ST", etc. but 'SIX MILE CANYON" and "NINE MILE
RANCH" are valid.
-
Some street names
are misspelled, i.e. "FREMONT" vs. "FREEMONT" vs.
"FREEMAT". These could all be the exact same
street. Also, "TRAILS END" vs. "TRAILZEND".
-
Some addresses are a
location only, i.e.
* Street name without a number or
* "9 MILES NORTH OF IONE", "BACK OF POST OFFICE",
"10TH AND A ST", etc.
-
Some are parcel
numbers.
-
Some are box
numbers.
-
Some are the name of
a mobile home park and the park could have 2 or three different names
due to name changes over the years, i.e.
* C & H MOBILE HOME PARK
* C & H TRAILER COURT
* C & H TRAILER PARK
-
Some are valid
addresses for a mobile home park, followed by a space number. A
space number will be represented by the # symbol and then the number
of the space, i.e. #27. If there is a letter after the number,
it will be typed together, i.e. #27A.
-
Direction is not
always indicated when it should be, i.e. "111 GRASS VALLEY
RD" and "112 S GRASS VALLEY RD", are next door to each
other.
-
There may be more
than one mobile home structure listed at the exact same address and/or space
number. This is usually due to the fact that a structure has
been moved to a different location and another one has replaced it and
a new title has been issued for the 2nd structure.
Mobile home owners are not required to file a change of address with
the Manufactured Housing Division.
